Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of tipeerQR, the free link and QR code service from Tipeer. Read them before you create an account.

Who we are
tipeerQR is a free service that gives each app one link and one QR code. A visitor who opens the link lands in the right app store for their device. Tipeer runs tipeerQR from Malaysia. In these terms, “Tipeer”, “we” and “us” mean Tipeer, the operator of tipeerQR.
By creating an account, creating a link, connecting a domain or using the QR code generator, you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Abuse Policy. If you do not agree, do not use tipeerQR.
Who can use tipeerQR
You must be at least 18 years old to use tipeerQR. If you use it for a business or for another person, you confirm that you can accept these terms for them.
You do not need an account to use the QR code generator or to open a link that someone else made.
Your account and security
You can sign up with an email address and a password, or with Google. For a password account, we email you a code to confirm that you control the address. A code expires after 15 minutes.
Keep your password and API keys secret. Tell us at support@tipeer.com right away if someone else gets into your account. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
Give accurate information. Do not create accounts to get around a limit, a disabled link or a disabled account.
Acceptable use
The Abuse Policy is part of these terms. In short, do not use tipeerQR to spread malware, run phishing or scams, send spam, share illegal content, send visitors somewhere different from what you showed them, pretend to be someone else, or chain one link shortener to another.
Do not attack, overload or probe the service. Do not scrape it at a rate that harms other people. Do not work around its limits or its safety checks.
Your links and content
You keep ownership of the destination addresses, names, logos and QR code designs you add. You give us permission to store them, process them and show them to visitors as needed to run the service. That includes redirecting visitors, sending destination addresses to Google Safe Browsing and showing your QR code to you.
You are responsible for every destination your links lead to. You promise that you have the right to link to each one, that you have the right to use every logo you upload, and that your links follow the Abuse Policy. We do not review destinations before they go live, and we do not endorse them.
We may disable a link that breaks these terms. We explain how in the section on safety checks below.
Safety checks and enforcement
We send the http and https destination addresses of your links to Google Safe Browsing when you save a link and again each day. If Google flags a destination, the link stops redirecting and visitors see a warning.
We can disable a link, a domain or an account at any time, with or without notice, when we believe it breaks these terms or the Abuse Policy, or when the law requires it. A disabled link shows the notice “This link was disabled for violating the abuse policy”. When we disable an account, it stops working and its links stop redirecting.
If you think we made a mistake, email support@tipeer.com with the link and we will review it.
The free service and its limits
tipeerQR is free. It has no paid plans, no ads, and no page between a scan and its destination, except the notice that tells a visitor a link was disabled or its destination flagged. We do not take payments.
Each account has limits. At the time of writing, a public account can keep 50 active links and 3 saved QR styles, create or edit 100 links per hour, and make 1,000 API requests per key per day. The home page lists the current limits. We may change a limit, and we will say so on the site.
A change to a link reaches every location within 60 seconds, so a visitor can still see the old destination for that long.
The free QR code generator draws the code in your browser. What you type there does not reach our servers.
Custom domains and Cloudflare
Custom domains may not be open when you read this. This section applies from the day they open.
You may connect only a domain you control. You can connect your own Cloudflare account, or you can add DNS records by hand at your DNS provider. For a domain you add by hand, you publish a TXT record yourself to prove control, and the domain goes live only after we read it. With a Cloudflare connection, tipeerQR creates that TXT record in your zone for you.
When you connect your Cloudflare account, you let tipeerQR read your zones and create and delete DNS records on your behalf. tipeerQR creates a TXT record that proves ownership and a CNAME record that points your subdomain to tipeerQR. You can revoke access in Cloudflare, or remove the connection in Settings once no domain uses it.
Cloudflare's own terms apply to your Cloudflare account, and Google's terms apply when you sign in with Google. You are responsible for your Cloudflare account, your DNS and the domain itself. When you remove a domain, you choose whether tipeerQR deletes the records it created. QR codes you printed with that domain stop working once the domain is gone.
Room is limited. A public account can connect 1 custom domain, and the service holds 100 in total. When every spot is taken, a new request joins a waitlist. We email the next person in line when a spot opens and hold it for 3 days. A manual claim that you do not prove within 12 hours lapses, and our daily cleanup then frees its spot.
Stats API and API keys
An API key belongs to the account that made it. A key can only read statistics for the links of that account. You can create up to 10 keys. Each key can make 1,000 requests per day, and the account can make 10,000 per day across all its keys. A request over the limit gets a 429 answer.
Do not share a key or put it in public code. If a key leaks, revoke it in Settings. We may revoke keys that harm the service.
Availability and changes
We work to keep links resolving, but we do not promise the service will always be available or free of errors. We may change, limit or stop any part of tipeerQR.
If we plan to end the service, we will tell account holders by email or on the site, and we will give as much notice as we reasonably can so you can move your links. QR codes you printed stop working when the link or its domain goes away.
Ending your use and deleting your account
You can stop using tipeerQR and delete your account at any time. Open Settings, choose Delete account, and type your email address to confirm. The account stops working at once. We then remove your links, scan history, statistics, API keys, apps, saved QR styles and logos, domains, the custom hostnames tipeerQR created and your Cloudflare connections and sessions. We also try to delete the DNS records tipeerQR created in your zone. If you revoked our access to your Cloudflare account first, we cannot reach them, and you remove them yourself. The removal runs in the background and retries the steps that can fail until they finish. We keep reports and the log of administrator actions.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we must by law, or if we stop offering the service. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law, continue after your access ends.
Your data
The Privacy Policy explains what we store and why. You can download the statistics for your own links as a CSV file, or read them through the stats API.
Intellectual property
The tipeerQR software, name and design belong to Tipeer. These terms do not give you any right to them beyond using the service. The QR codes you make are yours, and we claim no rights in them.
Disclaimers
tipeerQR is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that the service will meet your needs, run without interruption, or deliver every visitor to the destination you set. We give no warranty about any destination your links lead to.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Tipeer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost scans, lost data or the cost of reprinting QR codes that stop working. Because tipeerQR is free, our total liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. That amount is zero.
Nothing in these terms limits a right that the law does not allow us to limit.
Claims about your content
If someone makes a claim against us because of a link, a destination, a logo or other content you added, or because you broke these terms or the law, you will cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows. We will tell you about the claim and give you a fair chance to help deal with it.
Governing law
The laws of Malaysia govern these terms. The courts of Malaysia can hear any dispute about them, unless the law gives you the right to go to a court elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we make a material change, we will change the effective date above and tell account holders by email or on the site. If you keep using tipeerQR after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, delete your account.
General
These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Abuse Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about tipeerQR. If a court finds one part unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a part right away, we do not give it up.
We may move tipeerQR to another operator, and we will tell account holders if we do. You may not transfer your account to someone else. We send notices about your account to the email address on it, so keep that address current.
Contact
